Nextcloud Files is a cloud storage solution that forms part of the Nextcloud ecosystem. To learn more about it, visit Nextcloud Files.
Before connecting, ensure you have the following:
- Nextcloud account details: username and password
- Connection information:
- host address
- port (optional)
To configure FileZilla Pro to connect to Nextcloud Files, follow these steps:
- In the menu bar, click on File > Site Manager…
Note: For more details on creating and managing sites, see Using the Site Manager. - Click on New Site.
- Select WebDAV from the Protocol drop down list.
- Enter the host name in the Host field.
- If available, enter the port in the Port field. If left blank, FileZilla Pro will use the default port (443 for HTTPS or 80 for HTTP).
- Select the encryption mode:
- Use secure HTTPS if the provider supports encrypted connections.
- Use insecure HTTP only if HTTPS is unavailable.
- Enter the username in the User field.
- Enter the password in the Password field.
- Go to the Advanced Tab, in the Default Remote Directory field enter the following:
/remote.php/dav/files/USERNAME/
- Replace USERNAME with your Nextcloud username.
Note: Transmitting credentials in clear-text over the network is not recommended.
