FileZilla/FileZilla Pro maps a number of file extensions to MIME types by default. Below you find a step by step guide, if you prefer you can watch our MIME types video tutorial.
If you need to modify these mappings:
- In the main menu, click on Edit > Settings….
- Select Transfers > MIME Types from the menu on the left.
- Modify existing mappings, for example to add extra file extensions, by clicking on the
text to be modified and entering your changes.
Add new mappings by clicking on Add and entering a MIME type and the file extensions to be associated with it.
Remove mappings by highlighting the entry and clicking on Remove. - Click on OK.
