By default, FileZilla Server performs regular checks for updates. If a new version of FileZilla Server is available,
a dialog box will appear, displaying the Changelog.
You can check if there are available updates at any time by going to the Server menu option of the Administration interface and selecting the Check for updates option.
If a new version is available, you have two options:
- Download immediately: You can choose to download the new version right away by clicking the appro-
priate button or link. - Automatic download: Alternatively, you can select the Start download automatically next time checkbox. This will initiate the download process the next time you launch the Administration interface.
After downloading the update, you have several options to proceed:
- Install now: If you wish to install the update immediately, click on the You can now install it link provided.
- Open file location: By clicking the Open page location button, File Explorer will open, directing you to the location where the update file is stored.
- Change download location: If you prefer to save the update file in a different location, click on Change parameters and specify the desired location for the download.
When you launch the installer, Windows will prompt you to grant permission for the application to make changes to your device. To proceed, click on the Yes button.
During the installation process, you will need to follow the same steps as you did when initially installing FileZilla
Server. Please refer to the section Windows Installation for detailed instructions on the installation steps.
Once you reach the Admin Settings dialog box and click on the Install button, the installation process may be interrupted if the Administration interface is still running. In this case, close the Administration interface and
click on the Retry button to resume and complete the installation.
