Köln, Germany —18 June 2018— FileZilla® Pro, the cross-platform file access and transfer software application, today announced its one-year anniversary.
FileZilla® Pro, the popular cross-platform file access and transfer software application, today announced support for OpenStack Swift.
FileZilla Pro allows system administrators, Web developers, designers, and other professional users to share files across all types of remote servers and computing environments.
OpenStack Swift joins FileZilla Pro’s many supported network and Cloud protocols that include Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, WebDAV, and more. FileZilla Pro for OpenStack Swift initially supports authentication using version 2 of Keystone, the OpenStack identity service, with Keystone v3 support being added in a future FileZIlla Pro release.
“Our support of OpenStack brings FileZilla Pro to one of the fastest growing Open Source Cloud projects,” said Tim Kosse, original creator and principal author of FileZilla. “Our commitment to providing intuitive file management capabilities for moving thousands of files quickly and easily is becoming a reality with each new release.”
In addition, FileZilla Pro announced improvements to the interface of its Site Manager, reflecting the differences in terminology and capabilities between different protocols, making it much easier for users to setup a connection to their server or cloud storage service.
“We are happy to provide OpenStack users the ability to securely share files using FileZilla Pro,” added Kosse. “We remain on our trajectory to offer future support for Dropbox, OneDrive, and other protocols.”
More than 25,000 individual enthusiasts, professional system administrators, developers, engineers, and enterprise power users rely on FileZilla Pro to quickly and easily move files between computers and remote servers.
