This is typically a problem in MacOS, where FileZilla Pro has been purchased from the Mac App Store and you didn’t grant access to your local directories yet.
As a standard security measure, Apple’s Sandbox denies local file system access to apps from the Mac App Store.
Below you find a step by step guide, if you prefer you can watch our Local Files not Displayed on Mac video tutorial.
To grant access to local files:
- In FileZilla, select Edit > Directory access permissions.
- Add the directories that you want FileZilla Pro to access.
- Click on OK.
Note: If you see the error message “Could not create security-scoped bookmark from URL”, when adding a directory, ignore it. This is a macOS issue. Next time you may need to add the directory again.
The video tutorial below shows how to enable access to local directories using FileZilla Pro from the Mac App Store.
